Privacy Policy

Your Privacy Matters

Fridgeboard is designed so that your family's schedule stays your family's — we never see it, and it isn't stored on any server we run.

Data Storage

Fridgeboard is "bring your own backend." The events you and your family create are stored in a Back4App database that you or a family member set up and control — not on servers belonging to Fridgeboard's developer. See our Calendar Connection guide for how this works.

A copy of your schedule is also cached locally on each device, so the app still shows your last-known schedule if the network is briefly unavailable.

What We Collect

We don't collect anything — nothing you enter is ever sent to us or seen by us. The app only stores the information you provide, and only in places you control:

Sharing the Calendar Connection

When you share your Back4App connection details with family members, they're encrypted with a passcode you choose and sent only through the share method you pick yourself (Messages, email, AirDrop, or a QR code scan between two nearby devices). This never passes through any server belonging to Fridgeboard's developer.

Camera Use

Fridgeboard can use your device's camera to scan a QR code for calendar setup. This happens entirely on your device — no photo or video is stored or transmitted anywhere.

Data Control

You have complete control over your data:

No Analytics or Tracking

We do not collect any analytics, usage data, or tracking information. We have no idea how you use the app, and we like it that way.

Children's Privacy

This app does not knowingly collect information from children. Any data entered is controlled entirely by the family using the app, in a database they set up themselves.
