Welcome to Fridgeboard support! Fridgeboard is a shared family schedule — add and edit events from your iPhone, and see them all on a wall-mounted iPad, always up to date.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I add an event?

On your iPhone, tap the + button, fill in a title, date, and optional time and notes, then save. It appears on every connected device right away.

Can events repeat?

Yes. When adding or editing an event, choose Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly. Recurring events show only their next upcoming occurrence on the board, so it doesn't get cluttered with far-future repeats.

How does the shared calendar work?

Fridgeboard stores your family's schedule in your own Back4App account — a free cloud database that you control, not something Fridgeboard's developer runs or can see. Only one family member needs to set this up; everyone else just enters (or receives) three connection details. See our Calendar Connection guide for full setup steps.

How do I get the connection details to the rest of my family?

Once set up, use Settings → "Share Calendar Connection With Family" to send a link (with a passcode you choose, shared separately). For a device with no messaging of its own — like a wall-mounted iPad — scan the QR code shown on that screen directly from another family member's phone.

Can I control what the wall-mounted iPad is allowed to do?

Yes. On an iPad, Settings includes "Allow Adding Events" and "Allow Editing Events" toggles, plus a Board Size slider to fit different screen sizes. iPhones can always add and edit.

Is my data private?

Yes. Your schedule lives in your own family's Back4App account, not on servers we run or can see. Read our Privacy Policy for details.
